Find Me a Home Project

The project assists multi-barriered immigrant/refugee women in escaping abusive situations by providing shelter and a safe environment for them and their children. It also aids clients with housing crisis situations such as evictions, or inability to amass damage deposits. Based on their unique needs, clients receive first language support and are referred to other CIWA and community programs. This holistic approach ensures at-risk women and their children obtain necessities, legal guidance, and referrals to health, counselling, employment and community services. Through the project, clients gain the skills and support needed to maintain independence and break away from potential homelessness.
