Passport to Canada

Passport to Canada is a new community-based ESL literacy program that will be offered to both men and women who are refugees with low first language education. The program offers English language, literacy and life skills training and support to help refugees acquire basic survival skills and knowledge of Canadian culture that will build the social, cultural and language capacity needed to participate independently and confidently in Canadian society.

Eligible Clients

Refugee men and women with low first language education

 

Additional Program Information

  • The program is held at Knox United Church, 506 – 4th Street SW Calgary, AB
  • Classes meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am to 12 noon
  • Two intakes of 21 weeks each
  • Free onsite childcare for children 6 months to 6 years of age
