Bridging the Gap for Accountants
Program Description
This full-time 12-week employment training program is designed to help professional immigrant women with accounting or finance background practice their skills and gain relevant knowledge to join the Canadian workforce in a professional field. Career planning includes individualized labor market assessment, employment skill building, and job search support.
The program runs Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with three intakes each year: April, August, and November.
Eligibility Clients
- Immigrant women who are permanent residents or Convention refugees
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 or higher
- Post-secondary education in accounting and finance
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Preferably with one year of professional experience outside of Canada
- Participants who can commit to a full-time, in-person program for 3 months
