Family Conflict Program

Immigrant/refugee women and their families experiencing transition difficulties, relationship problems, abuse and trauma can receive professional, culturally sensitive counselling.

Crossing the Bridge is a part of the Family Conflict Program that works towards decreasing barriers to community services for immigrant women and their families living in family conflict/violence situations.

Family Conflict Outreach Counselling

In home counselling is available in multiple languages and is provided free of charge.

Cross-Cultural Parenting Program

A unique cross-cultural parent education program that assists immigrant and refugee parents facing the added challenge of parenting in a new country and culture.

Hand-in-Hand Parent Link Centre

In-Home Support Program

Immigrant women and their families receive assistance to overcome circumstances like family violence. This program recognizes the unique needs and challenges immigrant families face.

Home Visitation Program Partnership with Healthy Families

This program provides long-term support to families with newborns and children ages 0-5 years. Parents receive information, education, and connections to community support services.

Services for Youth and Seniors

 Proud Women Project

Proud Women Project encourages senior immigrant women to talk about their personal stories to immigrant youth. The youth are currently compiling a book with the stories.

Services for Youth

Youth Program

Addresses the needs and concerns of culturally diverse women between the ages of 10-19 years. In locations around Calgary, supportive groups offer safe environments for participants to discuss issues and solutions.

Guide to Success: Individual Counselling for Immigrant Youth

This project is designed to provide immigrant youth with culturally sensitive counselling in the areas of family violence, bullying, language support, education and employment opportunities.

Services for Seniors

Individual Counselling for Senior Immigrant Women

Senior immigrant women receive in-home counselling with first language support to address their unique needs. Clients receive information about health resources, parenting support, family law, intergenerational issues, and community support.

Grandma's Kitchen

For senior women, 50 years and older. Participants take part in cooking, sharing recipes, enjoying a meal, making friends and learning about self esteem and healthy living. This is a great way to make friends, learn new recipes and share your concerns and issues with women who understand you. There are groups in four different locations across the city.
