Employment Services for Low Literacy Immigrant and Refugee Women

This services provides job search support for women who have low English language skills, limited education and little to no Canadian work experience.

Networking Breakfast Meeting

Immigrant women have the opportunity to network with corporate representatives and employment agencies from around Calgary. These meetings allow participants to learn resume tips, talking to potential employers, making good first impressions and networking in Canada, directly from employers.  Brochure

Making Changes Program

This is a pre-employment, life skills orientation program done in partnership with the Making Changes Employment Association of Alberta.

Choosing the Right Path: Career Choices for Immigrant Women

This project provides resume enhancement, learning interview techniques, finding employment and developing a career plan to Canadian citizens, residents with over 3 years in Canada, refugee claimants and temporary foreign workers.  Brochure

Accounting Training

This program offers basic accounting skills to immigrant women through six-week sessions. The course material includes a general introduction to accounting, payroll accounting and Quickbooks software.

Receptionist Training

This training provides immigrant women with the necessary skills and academic knowledge to qualify for entry-level office assistant positions.

Links to Success: Skills Enhancement and Internships for Young   Immigrant Mothers project

Links to Success project is a 24 week program designed for young immigrant and refugee mothers who would like to attain meaningful employment and viable career prospects within their chosen field. Brochure
